She holds a Master of Education (Policy and Management) degree from Bristol University in the UK and a Bachelor of Education degree in English/Literature from Kenyatta University.

Cheptumo Ayabei — Director (Finance)


Mr. Cheptumo Ayabei is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in finance and education management.

He began his career with the Teacher Service Commission in 1999 as a Finance Officer and has steadily progressed to his current position as Director of the Finance Directorate, a role he assumed in 2009.

Prior to his tenure at the TSC, Mr. Ayabei served in the Ministry of Education, holding positions as an Assistant Secretary and Senior Assistant Secretary in Finance from 1990 to 1999.

His academic qualifications include an MSc in Finance and Banking from the University of Stirling, United Kingdom, a Bachelor of Education in Arts from Kenyatta University, and a CPA (K) certification.

He has also completed a Certificate in Public Finance and Accounts from the University of Connecticut and the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, UK. Mr. Ayabei’s professional affiliations include membership in the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.
