Role of the TSC Chairperson

  • Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Kenyan Constitution.

For a Member of the Commission:

  • Must be a Kenyan citizen.
  • Hold a degree from a recognized Kenyan university.
  • Have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in education, governance, management, or law.

Other Important Information:

  • Appointments for both the Chairperson and Members are for a non-renewable term of six (6) years.
  • The positions are full-time, and individuals appointed cannot hold any other public or private office.
  • Remuneration and benefits will be determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
